Simple translation. Program and educational plan on course “Radar navigation, radar plotting and use of ARPA” (Operational Level) is prepared in according to amended requirements prescribed in table A–II/2 of the STCW Code and on base 1.07 model course of the International Maritime Organization. This program defines: organizing training procedures on course, procedures on obtaining certificate, competence and ability requirements for certification of candidate: Describe the Basic Theory and Operation of a Marine Radar System; Set Up and Operate Radar in Accordance with Manufacturer’s Instructions; Perform Manual Radar Plotting; Use Radar to Ensure Safe Navigation; Use Radar Avoid Collisions or Close Encounters; Describe an ARPA System; Operate an ARPA System.
